Essential Granola Seasoning

Makes: Enough seasoning for 1/3 cup plain, uncooked oats

Ingredients

GROUP A: WET INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tsp coconut oil, warmed and liquefied

GROUP B: DRY INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 tsp dried cherries/raisins/dates/dried apricots, roughly chopped

  • 1/2 tsp sunflower seeds

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder

  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 6 almonds/hazelnuts/pecans, roughly chopped

Method

  • Mix Group A ingredients and set aside. Mix all Group B ingredients together. Toss in some oats and coat well with the seasoning mix, before cooking or baking.
