If you’ve got 20 minutes and a fries hankering, you’re in the right place. Hold your beer, then get another one.

INGREDIENTS

GROUP A: FRIES

  • 1 Japanese yam

  • Salt

  • Ground black pepper

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

GROUP B: YOGURT

  • 2 tbsp plain cream cheese

  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 1 - 2 tsp lemon olive oil

  • Pinch of ground sumac

  • Pomegranate seeds

  • Grated aged gouda

  • Fresh parsley, minced

method

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400F. Peel the yam completely. Slice lengthwise into long, 1/4” thick slivers. Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Add to the air fryer basket, ensuring that no fry overlaps another. Bake for 8 minutes. Take out the basket after 8 min, toss the fries around, flip them over to the other side, and bake for 8 - 9 minutes, till the edges are crisp and lightly browned.

  • While the fries are cooking, mix the cream cheese and yogurt to form a thick dip. Drizzle with olive oil and sumac.

  • Place the fries over the yogurt dip. Sprinkle a healthy dose of the gouda over the warm fries. Sprinkle the sumac, parsley and pom seeds. Chow away!
