Sweet & Savoury Crostini
That scrumptious photo on the seulfood homepage finally has a recipe page of its own!
And to keep things interesting, there are no measures for the ingredients, because this snack is best enjoyed when untethered by something called portion control ;)
INGREDIENTS:
French baguette (I prefer a half-sized loaf so that it’s over way before it has the chance to turn tough & chewy)
Soft goat cheese
Lightly salted prosciutto
Flakey Parmesan cheese
Cracked black pepper
Basil pesto (make your own, or use store-bought)
Strawberry jam (make your own, or use store-bought)
METHOD:
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Slice the baguette into 1/4” thick pieces, lightly brush each slice with butter, and toast them in the oven for 5 - 6 minutes, till the edges are lightly browned.
Layer the pesto first.
Layer the soft goat cheese.
Layer the strawberry jam.
Add the prosciutto.
Add the flakey parmesan cheese.
Finish with a sprinkling of cracked black pepper. Enjoy!
