Sweet & Savoury Crostini

That scrumptious photo on the seulfood homepage finally has a recipe page of its own!

And to keep things interesting, there are no measures for the ingredients, because this snack is best enjoyed when untethered by something called portion control ;)

INGREDIENTS:

  • French baguette (I prefer a half-sized loaf so that it’s over way before it has the chance to turn tough & chewy)

  • Soft goat cheese

  • Lightly salted prosciutto

  • Flakey Parmesan cheese

  • Cracked black pepper

  • Basil pesto (make your own, or use store-bought)

  • Strawberry jam (make your own, or use store-bought)

METHOD:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. Slice the baguette into 1/4” thick pieces, lightly brush each slice with butter, and toast them in the oven for 5 - 6 minutes, till the edges are lightly browned.

  • Layer the pesto first.

  • Layer the soft goat cheese.

  • Layer the strawberry jam.

  • Add the prosciutto.

  • Add the flakey parmesan cheese.

  • Finish with a sprinkling of cracked black pepper. Enjoy!
