A Few Of My Favourite Things
The name of this cocktail says it all ✨
ingredients
GROUP A: RHUBARB SYRUP
1 stick rhubarb
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup water
3 tbsp sugar
GROUP B: THE COCKTAIL
1/2 passion fruit
2 fresh lychees
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz rhubarb syrup
1/2 oz tepache (find the recipe here)
3/4 oz honey syrup
1 oz mezcal
1 oz gin
Cubed ice
Lime rind, to garnish
method
Make the syrup: Chop the rhubarb into 1/4” pieces and add all Group A ingredients to a small cook pot or saucepan. Bring the mixture to a low boil and continue to simmer on medium-low heat while stirring frequently, till the syrup is fragrant and slightly viscous. Take it off heat, strain and discard the solids, and let it cool down to room temperature completely prior to using. Refrigerate in an air tight jar for a longer shelf life.
Make the cocktail: Add all Group B ingredients to a cocktail shaker and short shake for 5 - 7 seconds. Strain over ice into an OF glass. Garnish with a lime rind twirl!
