Run Your Mouth Off
What happens when you’ve replenished your stock of vermouth and are stubborn about using them both. Immediately. Together. All at once.
ingredients
1/2 oz Irish whiskey (I used Jameson)
1/2 oz Martini Rosso
2 oz Martini Sec
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1 barspoon thick rose syrup (like Rooh Afza)
1 barspoon brown sugar simple syrup
1 dash aromatic bitters (I used Scrappy’s Bitters)
Bubbly, to top off
Ice
Lemon slice, halved, to garnish
method
Chill a champagne flute in the freezer for 5 - 10 minutes. Add all the ingredients (except the bubbly) to a mixing glass and swiftly stir with ice for 7 - 8 seconds. Strain into the chilled coupe, top off with bubbly, and place the lime slice over the mouth of the glass prior to serving.
